Cinco De Mayo Teacher Appreciation Luncheon

Cinco de Mayo is a time to celebrate the Spanish victory of the “Batalla de Puebla.”  Members of Spanish National Honor Society put on a celebration for the teachers known as Teacher Appreciation Day.  On this day, the members honor, serve, and thank the teachers for all the hard work they have done over the year.

Every teacher and staff member receives a Spanish name that he or she is to wear throughout the day.  The students can also nominate teachers to win a spot on the Spanish court in various categories.  The winners each receive a gift certificate pertaining to the title they win.  The members of SNHS make the day extra special by preparing different types of Hispanic foods for the faculty and staff to enjoy.
