Carmel Cheer for the Poor
The Mount Carmel Academy Competition Cheerleading Squad raised money and walked for Saint Vincent's De Paul friends of the poor walk. The walk for charity took place on Saturday, September 27th in Audubon park. The girls pledged money for Ozanam Inn and enjoyed the beautiful weather as they walked for the poor.

2008 AP Calculus Cubs
Before leaving home for college, the 2008 AP Calculus Cubs gathered at Bravo's to celebrate a successful year of AP Calculus. The 2008 graduates' class average score on the AP Calculus exam was the highest ever in school history. Go Cubs! And best wishes to success in college and life beyond!

Friday night Football Fever
Well, it wasn't quite Friday night. But fortunately, the Carmelettes, Tigers and Crusaders were able to make a go of it Saturday afternoon at Pan American stadium. At half-time the Carmies took the field, entertaining fans with yet another great Carmelette performance.

Oh Yeah!
Mount Carmel's volleyball season opener proved to be an exciting match. The JV began the evening with a strong 2-0 victory over the Skippers. The varsity squad took control early with a solid winning first game 25-14. Game 2 went to the Cubs as well, but Mandeville rallied back to win a close 3rd game 25-22. Mrs. Tilly's computer applications class hit the books Tuesday morning, following an unexpected holiday from Hurricane Gustav. The eighth graders are preparing for their upcoming quiz on the Microsoft Office ribbon. Good luck girls!
