Good Shepherd School Project More Pictures...

In previous years, Book Club held service projects with the Cub Corner day care center and the Good Shepherd School.  However, after Katrina the day care center was moved and the main service project became the Good Shepherd School project.  This project, sponsored by the Brown Foundation, is a year long project with the students of a particular class.  The Mount Carmel students are paired with a buddy and visit them at the school to learn about each other.  Through letters and scheduled visits, the Mount Carmel students select a book which they think their buddy will enjoy.  The Good Shepherd School students read their books and visit MCA to have a book report party at the end of the year.  Good Shepherd pictures here.
