• Races- Lending a helping hand in working registration tables, water tables, and turns, Mt. Carmel's Key Club enjoys assisting races around the city. These races include Mardi Gras Marathon, Crescent City Classic, Turkey Day Race, and Race for the Cure.


  • Christmas Wrapping Paper- Every Christmas, Key Club cuts and sells locker size pieces of wrapping paper at Mount Carmel Academy. Each sheet of paper along with bows and tape is sold for a dollar; this money is given to a charity for Christmas.


  • City Park Clean Up- Armed with gloves and trash bags in hand, students enjoy their time together as they work to make their environment a cleaner place. The girls at Mount Carmel Academy organize this community service activity; this activity is one of their favorites. In addition, other Key Clubs from other schools are invited to participate.

  • Car Wash- Equipped with holes, buckets, and sponges, Key Club members clean dirty cars to raise money for charities.


  • LEAP Tutoring- Spanning from December through March, MCA Key Club members tutor third and forth graders from Marie Riviere Elementary in reading, writing, and mathematics in preparation for the LEAP test.




  • Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast- Mt. Camel's Key Club shows its support to their sponsoring Kiwanis Club by helping out with the Dawn Busters' Pancake Breakfast. A breakfast where all raised funds go to charities.
